I haven’t done that yet, but I’ve been able to use them in other areas of my house that need motion sensing lighting (like in our hallway that’s super dark at night). The charge lasts for about 4-5 days before having to recharge. 4 starts instead of 5 because it would be nice if there was an option to dim the light. It is BRIGHT! One person found this helpful

I love that it lights up the dark spots in the garage just put the metal plate on the wall and they attach magnetically. I am very happy with this. they are motion activated and they can stay on steady as well they are perfect for under cabinets too.

    5.0 out of 5 stars Love that these have settings Love these have on and off and auto settings. Warning: the USB-C cords that come with these need to be used to charge these. When I got these, I was going to toss the cords and use my ones I already had for our phones. They wouldn't charge. I pulled put the cords that came with them and they did charge. I purchased the same lights but different brand awhile ago. They wouldnt charge. I just thought they were junk, reason I bought these. Luckily I didn't toss them. I used the new cords with my old lights and they charged them. Why?? No clue. I hope I save someone else from the same issue.

    5.0 out of 5 stars For my use in a basement stairwell, very good I put two of these lights in the dark stairwell that leads to my dungeon ... I mean, basement. They work best for this purpose shining down, after some experimentation. They work very well, and my wife likes them especially.The mounting tape is extremely sticky, so once it is on, it won't be coming off without damaging the surface it is attached to. So I recommend moving the light around without putting the mounting tape in place until you are satisfied that's where you want it to stay.Since the lights just magnetically stick to the tape, taking one off for recharging is extremely easy. You do need your own 5 Volt charging block.

    2.0 out of 5 stars IT STARTED OFF GOOD.... THEN.... (had to update and change my review) These lights first off are affordable. For a 2 Pack, Rechargeable, Motion detecting light set, I feel like it can't be beat! I hung mine in my pantry as the pantry doesn't have a light. I wasnworried the door may cause the light to stay on longer than it should when closing the pantry, but it does not stay on long so I think these should hold charge for a while becsude they shut off pretty quick one they are not needed. I do have mine set to Automatic.Be careful as they will slide pretty easily on the sticky mount, not by themselves, but I was changing the setting from Auto and it slid right on the side, stayed on the magnetic bar, but it was a close call. So put them somewhere you do not have to fool with the setting and let them chill where they are at.The lights are bright as well and do the job. I am satisfied with this purchase.****** Update:November 30, I noticed the light stopped working. I charged the light thinking it died after being hung up for so long, but it did not revocer from its malfunction. No matter how you flip the switch, "on/auto" the light comes on for literally a second then goes off. When you click another setting to make it react it does nothing at all. Motion is not being detected, and the light "on" doesn't stay on. I'll be sending these back if that's an option. I waited on the review to see if it would fix itself, but its over. The light won't work anymore. You get a good couple of weeks, then nothing. Cheap buy, worked well when it did, but both annoying and useless when it doesn't. I now have a light that won't light, and the rechargeable factor is void if there's nothing to light. What am I recharging hope? 6 people found this helpful

    3.0 out of 5 stars One unit works well while the second light will not charge. Nice product that provides ample lighting in a closet area. Unfortunately one unit malfunctions from day one. Will not activate, no motion sensing, no always on as a hand held light. Charging doesn’t help as it never gets to a green light state. In fact when charging there is no red light either.

    5.0 out of 5 stars Convenient attaching to metal surfaces ... Perfect for use in closet/under kitchen cabinets. The package came with two lights. I used one in the closet, and that worked fine. The other one, I installed under a kitchen cabinet. Good lighting at night especially the motion sensing feature but you need to be closer than 4-ft and no ambient light to work. Overall good value buy.

    4.0 out of 5 stars Good price and a solid little rechargeable light I purchased the 8”, 2 pack, for $12.76 and I have since purchased 3 more sets. I’m finding many uses for them and so far they are working very well. I will say that one of them, in a high traffic area, seems to need a charge every other day. That is the only one of the 8 that I have to behave this way.Some were charged fully out of the box and some needed a charge. No biggie for me.They’re bright and that’s what I need. I have two in closets, a few in the back of electronics racks, a couple under cabinets. All of them provide plenty of light for my needs and are a huge improvement over no lights.The motion detectors seem to function well. I have one, that same one that needs charging a lot, that seems a bit spotty but the rest are very good. It may be that there is too much light in that room during the day.The metal bar that comes with it is thin and very bendable but the adhesive seems highly effective and the thinness of bar is nice once it’s mounted as it is hardly noticeable.So far so great. Bought this for above my door frame in my shared apartment foyer so I didn’t have to leave my light on the whole time I’m not home but could still see when I needed to unlock my door. Then I bought 8 more for under my kitchen cabinets and in the hallway leading to my front door/living room. It’s the perfect tone of light and awesome brightness and they shut off on their own after so many seconds so they don’t waste energy and I can just walk around my kitchen/hall without having to turn any lights on. Also bought two extra to keep charged for backup that I can just switch out when they start to die and need recharged. That seems to be working well because I always have working lights. I didn’t have electricity at all for 17 months right before I bought these and would just recharge things at work so these would have definitely worked well for that as charging them really doesn’t take that long and they’re small and attach and reattach with a magnet so they’re super easy to swap out and charge. Definitely recommend. Now that I have electricity again I still don’t use the lighting that is permanently installed in my apartment and these light my kitchen/hallway/and foyer fine. Sometimes the motion timer will shut off and you have to move around a little again to get them all to light up again but there is an always on option also and not just auto so if you needed them to stay on consistently that’s an option.

We've used them in our pantry and under a cabinet - they give good bright light. The light is VERY white - which is great if you want to see something, but might not be ideal if you want a more nuanced illumination for your aesthetic. They charge quickly from USB and the charge lasts a long time. Overall, just a good light for general use and not expensive. One person found this helpful

    4.0 out of 5 stars So far Working good! I have bought these products, one for my garage storage which doesn't have any light, and one for my staircase, so far they are working fine. However, I only put 4 star b/c of the motion detection, one is very sensitive and the other one is not that sensitive. The one which is very sensitive detects the motion movement from a little far distance. I put the one of them for staircase between 1st floor and 2nd floor, but when i move around on 2nd floor to go to bedroom, the light goes on, but when i move around 1st floor near by staircase, the light doesn't get turn on until i walk nearby the light strip. Not sure how this sensor works and how it detects the movement. 2 people found this helpful

One in cabinet, and one under the cabinets in the kitchen...enough light without turning lights off and on to get water or take something to the trash can.I have others but these are easily charged with easy to understand switches. On-Off and auto...simple.I expect I will buy more of these and replace some of the ones that provide less light.I will say it seems I had to recharge one of them within two weeks, whereas the others in the house last a month or two...we will see and I may have to edit this. 4 people found this helpful

I've purchased a different brand of these motion activated lights before and this is the first time I've had one that doesn't charge. I'm not going to go to the trouble of returning them since they come in a set of 2, I would need to return one of the ones that work along with the one that won't charge. I will go back to the brand I've ordered in the past. They are a little smaller but work great, charge very quickly and hold a charge for quite a while. Just decided to try these because they are slightly bigger.Update to original review: I added a star because the seller contacted me and sent me replacements. However, one of those will not stay on and some of the lights do not stay charged very long. I am keeping the lights but when I need to order more I will order the same ones I has before. One of them went back to red. Don't know if charged or not because it's not going back to green. The auto doesn't work very well. One of them doesn't work in auto. I didn't want to have to turn on all the time. Liked the convenience of having it turn on when in the room. Am returning for replacement. Hopefully next ones will work good. Only complaint is I’d like to be able to adjust the sensor detection distance and the battery seems to run out a lot faster than they claim. Like that they’re rechargeable with a USB-C cord and easy to remove for charging!

    4.0 out of 5 stars Light strips The pair of lights came quickly and were easy to charge and hang. They put out a good amount of light and do light up our pathway to the master bath.So far it took only a few days for a need to recharge one of them, not weeks or months as others reported. We will see how this plays out.

    5.0 out of 5 stars I bought more I ordered 2 sets of these and they worked so well I ended up ordering a few more. The charge lasts a long time (I use mine only on motion sensor mode). I'm sure I'll be ordering more when I find the need.For reference, I used the first ones I ordered in my gun safe and the other ones I put in areas of some closets that had some spots that were darker than the rest of the closet. They work great for both.

    4.0 out of 5 stars Use the charger provided... I kept these in my garage, so it doesn't really get much action. When I went to charge I wasn't able to get them charged but after changing to the cord they provided vs the one for my phone, I was able to get it to work. About 3 months a single charge which is not bad. It's pretty bright and maybe used a few times a day if that. One person found this helpful
